  I loved it. Today  is 18 September 2024 and I loved finding this on YouTube. I’ve always loved Jane Austen though I didn’t read her when I was in school. I grew up on a farm in raw Kentucky , without TV. Certainly no cell phones. They definitely were not in a future as we didn’t even have a telephone until late 60’s. This is amazing. Love Conquers in the ending. As I was finishing the last scenes,  my husband of 63 years passed through the room. He said do you want to sit in the dark and watch that movie and I said yes please. I’m Gammy Faye on Papa Al’s iPad.

  The house used as &quot;Mansfield Park&quot; was Kirby Hall, home to Lady Elizabeth Murray, daughter of 2nd Earl of Mansfield, Jane later visited her in another of her newly built estate Eastwell Park in Kent, just 4 miles from Godmersham Park. The Mansfield Park in the novel was also said to be located in Northamptonshire where Kirby Hall was also famously located<br><br>The 1st Earl of Mansfield (her father&apos;s uncle) was the lord chief justice, who made landmark judgment about slavery and also taken in Lady Elizabeth&apos;s black cousin, Dido Belle.<br><br>the house used as Mr Rushworth house in this version was Kenwood House, childhood home of Lady Elizabeth Murray and home of the first Lord Mansfield who raised her<br><br>later Lady Elizabeth&apos;s son (George Finch-Hatton 10th Earl of Winchilsea) would take Jane Austen&apos;s great niece &nbsp;(Fanny Rice😂 def ironically named) as his third wife, and their descendants are still thriving today, one of them being actress Anna Chancellor<br><br>edit: Fanny Rice, was daughter of Elizabeth Austen Knight, who was daughter of Edward Austen Knight of Godmersham. Lord Winchilsea married Fanny at Godmersham and Jane Austen had previously met Winchilsea quite often when he was young, he would go on to duel Duke of Wellington

  I&apos;ve come to love Jane Austen. I didn&apos;t &quot;know&quot; her as a young girl. But I can certainly appreciate her works now, at 60. The movies and adaptations don&apos;t do her justice, tho they are entertaining enough 😊
