  Glad you liked this one. The next one &quot;Goldfinger&quot; is the one that turned Bond films into block buster for the next 50 plus years.

  The term &quot;old man&quot; was a common phrase used by upper class Englishmen and military officers when talking to a friend or peer. It was not derogatory. But it did give him away because of his overuse of it.

  You have to remember that when this movie came out long travel to exotic locations was much more expensive and out of reach of even much of the middle class. &nbsp;So the movie (and many of the early Bond movies) serves as a sort of travelogue documentary of places that most of the audience had little chance of seeing themselves.<br><br>This is still one of my favorite of the Bond films and I am glad you enjoyed it.

  The train they travel on is the famous Orient Express, which you can still ride on, updated of course but just as luxurious...if you have several thousand dollars spare.
