  If you want non depressing aviation accidents, i recommend Air Canada Flight 143 🇨🇦 aka known as the Gimli Glider. The heroic acts of Captain Robert Pearson is one heck of a story as he landed a Boeing 767-200 with no fuel at all!

  From what I recall the KLM captain was the KLM poster boy, he was their go to face for photo ops and the image of him shown is from an magazine two page spread that was used to advertise their flight company featuring the captain front and center. He was also from what I know somewhat caught up in his own hype at times and had been repremanded about this before.

  Mentour Pilot has some of the best aviation disaster coverage on Youtube, any of his stuff is good but i recommend the Air New Zealand Mt Erebus crash video. The only passenger airline crash in Antarctica and one that not many people know about. Or for a less depressing one the QANTAS Flight 32 video where incredible skill let Aussie pilots land a barely flying A380 saving 469 people. That video is a bit older but it's a hell of story. Love the aviation content, please keeping doing it 😄

  Oh God. Yeah, Tenerife is perhaps one of the darkest air traffic accidents in catalogue of aircraft accidents to cover. There's a Docudrama (documentary and dramatic retelling) that's length of a movie at hour and half that I first learned of this event. Hid coverage is different from that TV special because of his technical and professional experience as airline pilot that covers this event more objectively.

  When you load fuel, you get heavier. When you get heavier, it is harder to take off. That's the other big problem with the refueling.

  Mixing up passengers is a safety and security concern, even back then when security was much more relaxed its still an issue. At my &nbsp;airline we&apos;ve had people get on the wrong plane all together because they got the destinations confused, Las Palmas in Gran Canaria and Palma in Majorca. They didn&apos;t inform the crew until the flight was halfway to Gran Canaria.<br><br>Also if you&apos;re on a flight and want to visit the flight deck just ask the cabin crew and we&apos;ll ask them if they have time for you to come in. During delays or when you&apos;re getting off the aircraft are usually the best times!<br><br>I&apos;ve also been victim of flight time limitations a few times due to delay. Nowadays cabin crew and flight crew have the same limits on hours, about 13-4 hours or so I think based on what time of day you start.<br><br>Again I&apos;d recommend the story of Air Canada 143 or the Gimli Glider, it&apos;s an incredible story with a much less depressing ending!

  Mentour&apos;s narration became much better now, and my two favorite videos are his Q400 and Helios 522 remake

  I suggest you react to “British Airlines 009: The Full Story of the Jakarta Incident” by Mentour Pilot next for another plane accident video! It features the actual pilot of the 009 aircraft, which I personally think is really cool

  One very sad thing he didn&apos;t mention was that a kid from the KLM plane got lost in the terminal for a bit, and people had to spend a bit of time searching for him, just so he could be put back on the plane right before it taxied off, the one with no survivors. &nbsp;Imagine being the person who found him and walked him back to the plane.
