  When I was around four years old, I fell on an escalator at my local mall and my left hand got caught between the gears. I don&apos;t remember the accident at all, but my mom told me how mortified my grandmother was (it was just me and my grandma having a day together), and a large crowd gathered as paramedics dislodged my shredded hand and began taking care of me. I am very lucky. Everyone around me, my grandmother, the mall workers, and paramedics worked fast to hep me, so I didn&apos;t lose my hand or any fingers, and my hand fully recovered :)

Now that I&apos;m pushing 30, however, I realize that it 1000 ways to die was actually very stupid. If anyone&apos;s never seen it, know that one of the deaths involved a guy burning to death on a lit fart; that&apos;s the level of asinine you can expect from it.

  As a child, I always had to jump off as the step disappeared into the floor. I was scared that I would get pulled under.

But then again, in all assassination attempts in movies what&apos;s the thing they do? They make it &quot;look like an accident&quot;.

  As a kid, I pressed the button at the bottom. &nbsp;I don&apos;t remember what happened to me; probably got my hide tanned.<br><br>The word &quot;escalate&quot; wasn&apos;t used until after the name for the escalator came to be.
