I do miss living on a carrier. Then I remember I can sleep in my own bed.

I have all the respect in the world for those folks who go down to the sea in ships. I am an ex-paratrooper and I don't think I would fare well on an aircraft carrier.

I love this. My mother worked her way up. From College cafe cook, To manager. And eventually showing off her skill, giving personal, beautiful meals to the President and First Lady exactly three times.

Very few Americans will ever see an aircraft carrier except in pictures. I served on the USS Shangri-La, CVA-38, a World War II carrier with a respectable record, in 1959. Today's carriers are twice the size; they are an awesome sight. If you ever get the opportunity to see today's carrier, take it.

Our military volunteers in all services deserve the best environment and living accommodations the services are reasonably able to provide. These men and women make our beautiful peaceful life here at home possible.

It's bad enough seeing an e-scooter racing towards you at 35mph , now imagine this "city at sea" doing the same "brown trousers time" doesn't come close , instant cardiac
