Mood is important. It happens to me quite often that my hi-fi system sounds great some days and terrible others. It's a strange feeling. I don't think it's the equipment, but rather the listener, of course, because I haven't changed anything. This feeling isn't unique to me, as I've discussed it with a relative who's an audiophile and experiences the exact same thing. It's certainly curious. Cheers.

After some exploration I have settled with a dual mono Purifi 1ET9040 amplifier. They are feeding a pair of floorstander from the manufacturer whose founder has told the famous "straight wire with gain". I think because amplification section has a lot of interruction with speaker impedance, phases etc, it is better to get it out of the equation. Then you can easily select a pair of speakers that you like and microadjust your personal taste with a preamplifier section that adds the additional magic. On my case till now my is just an Aune S17 Pro that with the JFET adds similar characteristics on midrange and soundstage like a tube preampfifier does. DAC section should be most of the times be neutral, unless its output stage has the flavor that you want through tubes or other techniques. In that case though only digital sources are affected. So for me at the end a dedicated preamp should be the section that adds the personal flavor of harmonics.

I wonder what the Vincent would sound like with my Monitor Audio 500 gold 6g speakers. It should have enough power to run them.

You should add comparisons with Sonus Faber model xxx. You should have more different typs of speakers to get some kind of variation and fair comparisions.

judging by your Red Glasses it makes sense you're not a Generalist and prefer the Specialist amplifiers over the Atoll :). I have to agree with you as I'm the same.
