I’m so sorry that you had to deal with a person reporting you for such a trivial matter. So many people project their own feelings of inadequacy out onto others but I find it especially hard when this self-hatred becomes directed towards a lovely person like you. You have such a beautiful garden and you have such a peaceful and joyful demeanor as you record your lovely and informative videos. It’s easy to see in the comments how many people adore you and love learning from you and your vast knowledge of gardening. We all have benefited so much from your channel. Thank you so much for sharing your beautiful garden and knowledge of gardening with us.

The transformation is incredible! I love how the arborvitae hedge creates such a beautiful dark backdrop for the lighter colored hostas, etc. in the shade garden. So happy for you!

Danielle, I've been a fan of yours for over two years now but I don't think I've ever posted a comment. I've come to love, from a distance, your grandmother's garden, Grace's garden, the Hydrangea room, etc. and am so glad that you and your family won't be leaving. I'm a 75 year old woman gardening in zone 4b, Montana. The hedge looks amazing, by the way.

Great project. It really provides the privacy you’re after. Congrats! Shame the audio cuts out @14:27 though

After living in my perfect home for 10 years two of my neighbors moved. The neighbor to my right uses their front porch as an office/living room, complete with heater so they can be out there year round. Needless to say I get to hear every conversation they shout into the phone all day long. I bought a pair of ear buds and listen to music whenever I'm outside. The neighbor to my rear has outfitted the entire yard with extremely bright solar lights which shine into the back of my house, including my bedroom. I really love the area I live in and thinking about moving makes me feel ill. I think using hedging like this could be my answer. I've checked out buying individual plants but I need a barrier fast. Thank you for your video. You may have changed the course of my life too.

Unfortunately the last 2 minutes of audio are gone, but I’m so glad you got your privacy back! We are looking to do the same with our property.

You and your husband did so much work to make this hedge put in place and you're right, it will change the whole usefulness and function of your outdoor space. It looks great and having privacy now is so important plus a way to keep Grace in place too! None of us need to be able to have people see into our private spaces. Glad you shared this information and look forward to seeing how well it does for you.
