  So everybody seems to sound like Steve is a hero. He is a hero. I’m a local in mammoth lakes and was born here. I’m 15 years old and just a couple summers ago MLPD ( mammoth lakes police department) and mammoth lakes chamber decided to “relieve Steve of his duties” ( fire him) this is a old video and the town loved him. He is the most respectful person I have ever met. Please respond to this comment do we can get Steve his career and hobby back. 💔

  Loved watching him give the bear a beautiful funeral ceremony. Steve has a sweet spirit and the bears give him mutual respect. This community must be grateful they have Steve to keep the balance between the bears and people. A heart warming story of this wonderful man, his family, community and his love for the bears.
