Imagine taking the time and effort to “educate” a crocodile on how to coexist with humans. What a legend Steve was!!
RIP!

To me, this is pure art, no drama, no cowardice, just pure education on how the wildlife can be both beautiful and terrifying.

What a guy. He even designed the trap specifically so that it wouldn’t hurt the croc. Just a great human being through and through.

We were all robbed the day he died. Imagine what he would be like in his older years. He was not only a national treasure but a world treasure!!

Steve Irwin is the example how to be 100% Australian: Talks in Aussie accent, Wearing expedition clothes and a Indie Hat, playing with Crocodiles, has always mates around him and driving a white Toyota.

I went to the zoo with my family a long time ago and got toured by the man himself. Still have his photo on my desk. Rip steve irwin.

Edit: To clear some doubt. Yes, Steve Irwin, the beloved wildlife conservationist, the man I look up to, was known to give personal tours at Australia Zoo when time permitted. He was deeply involved in the zoo’s operations and would often surprise visitors by interacting with guests (me, luckily so at the time), showcasing animals, and sharing his passion for wildlife conservation. While his busy schedule with filming and conservation efforts limited these appearances, many zoo visitors recall memorable encounters with him during live demonstrations or behind-the-scenes experiences. His hands-on, enthusiastic approach embodied his commitment to educating people about wildlife, and it is this that has inspired many individuals throughout the world to help conserve our beloved animals, just like it inspired me. That tour with him will stay with me forever, and I wouldn't be able to thank him enough for the honour. Crickey! Steve Irwin, you truly were one of a kind. Thank you all for the kind comments.

This is the first time I’ve heard or saw him in a few years, and my god does this bring back a smile to my face.
Rip legend, truly one of the all time greats.
