If any star citizen video has an "fully crewed" and "idris" in the title you know its gonna be fire

While the focus was on the pilots, I just want to give praise to the ATC and the deck crew!! The real heroes of capital ship gameplay. :)

I wish they adjust the IDRIS back ramp to not extend in space so like have two modes, ground mode and space mode

THIS👏IS👏WHAT👏THE👏IDRIS👏IS👏ALL👏ABOUT. No solo flying, no using the laser/railgun for bounty hunting. Using its fighters as an offensive force. That gun is only for other cap ships. This is so refreshing to see the idris in its element.

Addendum: would be nice if CIG would make carrier based emotes for the deck crew. To guide the fighters and support craft.

I love this type of gameplay as a full crew doing full crew stuff as a crew.

Landing decoupled conserves your momentum as you cross into the ship's gravity container so you get a smooth transition.

Trying to land coupled will require you to immediately stop any throttle input the instant you cross into the Idris container. Otherwise, you'll suddenly burst forward in speed as your speed is now relative to the hangar. Outside, the Idris is going 100m/s. Once inside, if coupled, the hangar is considered going zero m/s, so if you were going 115 m/s just outside the hangar, you are now providing input that has you going 115 m/s INSIDE the hangar.

Staying decoupled means you can be moving 115 m/s towards an Idris going 100 m/s, and you can stay completely off the throttle and just drift into the hangar at a gentle 15 m/s. There's no change in speed as you cross into the Idris gravity container. This means you only have to worry about tiny lateral strafe adjustments to ensure you're aligned with the hangar.

This is 100% giving me BSG vibes. We need another fighter-carrier, day in the life fighting the good fight in space series. I think they could reboot Space Above and Beyond and finish the story, and people would love it. The whole series is on Youtube. I loved watching it on Fox as a kid. Thanks for the fun video DTOX.

Keyboard and Mouse players can adjust throttle input amounts using Right Alt + Scroll wheel, you typically need about 70% thrust in hangars etc to maintain "minimal" control.

Watching content like this makes me so hopeful for the future of SC. Having a cool community like that is awesome! As a solo player I really need to find a community like this!
