It’s crazy how some cereals are marketed as healthy when they’re basically dessert in a box. Glad someone is breaking it down.

The scandal that are being exposed are frightening, it’s making devastating reality, that these companies don’t give a dam about your health or wellbeing 😡😡

Plain Weetabix and Shredded Wheat are good, both are low in sugar and salt and high in fibre.

I get cereals from the health food shop. They do equivalents of Allbran and of Branflakes but without the high levels of added sugar and salt. They also sell unsweetened puffed wheat and puffed rice.

Most cereals are full of glyphosate, which is sprayed on most of our food, be careful what you eat.

I bought a packet of gluten-free cornflakes last week; I had been raised on cornflakes but in recent years I have become gluten intolerant. I bought a packet of gluten-free not checking the box/ packet. I have always enjoyed cornflakes but on my first spoonful I was shocked how sweet the flakes were and thought that in the packaging some of the sugar must have collected in the spoonful I had just tasted- but no, the ingredients on the box mentioned not only sugar but also honey! What is the need for both? I contacted the company and was informed that children like both. The Government should really get apply the whip on food manufacturers! Someone has to accept responsibility!

A bowl of Cornflakes was a guaranteed blocked bowel for my father as he grew older. This occurred very time he was fed them in hospital as well as at home.

My mother in-law always has a good bowl of cereal every morning. She usually has a mixture of all bran and puffed wheat (not the sweetened one). I also love the puffed wheat. The ingredients on the box read,Durum wheat and that's it, just wheat. My mother in-law is 94 years old and still going pretty strong too.
