A 73 year old powerlifter, I agree. Even now, I find it hard to accept that I don’t get strong while lifting but in the recovery from lifting. But I know that it is true. Every now and then, I get tempted to exercise every day or definitely ever alternate day, That is when I start feeling tired all day. When I move to lifting every third day, I feel much better and lift higher.<br>The result? Won two silvers in World Benchpress at Warsaw (IPF) in May 2026.

I enjoyed the chat, but there were a lot of unanswered or fully answered questions on the topic of carbs/carb loading, especially it's effect in later life....also I would have liked his explanation on his opposing take to Tim Noakes on the function of the brain in being the motor to all bodily actions .......time restricted eating was also( to me anyway) slightly unanswered. Thanks again for the discussion.
