His daughter came back inside and read the book to him like he asked. He died when she said, "No daddy, please". She came back in and read to him as he died. His heart gave out when he felt accepted and forgiven. Incredible performance by everyone in this film. Amazing.

Brendan Fraser fully deserved the Award for best actor he received. One of his absolute best performances! 💜

I really think Brendan Fraser's performance in this is one of the best ever put on film. Not just for the emotional moments, but for every tiny immersive breath and inflection that totally sold the already incredible makeup. It's truly otherworldly.

Simone's cat could sense her sadness...watching the cat rub against her to try to cheer her up...cats can sense emotional states...it's pretty amazing.

I have absolutely been waiting for a top reactor to react to this masterpiece... waiting for 4 years... and finally... today's the day! Even before you begin, Thank You Simone and George! <br><br>"People are incapable of 'not' caring." only to reveal, that care can come very late; "I'm sorry for leaving you." IMHO, 'The Whale' IS a masterpiece.

I met Brendan Frazier in a convention, before he won an Oscar from this movie. He still got it. He was the nicest and sweetest person I've ever met, But the first time I saw him, he seemed sad.

“I never want to see this again.” Pretty much what I say after every Aronofsky film.
