If you are noticing audio sync issues, it is because of YouTube’s new “feature” called Stable Volume. It’s automatically turned on and can desync a lot of videos.
Turn it off in the settings of this video to fix the problem :)

When Lake Mead outside of Las Vegas reached historic drought levels in 2022, they were finding bodies for a few weeks.

51:23 That was just a random stranger accidentally wandering onto the set! Pesci just rolled with it and Scorsese loved it, so he kept it in the movie!

My uncle worked in a Vegas casino for decades and to say he saw plenty of people ruin their lives is an understatement. He told us stories about how people would literally put up their mortgages, life savings, kids college, etc. and lost it all. Lots of tragic stories. The castle looking hotel Excalibur is still there.

I thought you guys were going to read about the Blueberry muffins in the trivia. The reason that scene was in the movie was because the person that Robert Deniro's character was based on was like that. He wanted to make sure all of the blueberry muffins were consistent so Scorsese put that scene in the movie!

I was a field archaeologist for around 20 years. A good portion of that was in Nevada. One time we uncovered a body, or at least portions of a human skull (the frontal bone if you're interested). It could have been thousands of years old, or maybe not. Things can decay differently in the desert. Anyway, we called the county coroner and the police. That is standard even if you think the remains are very old. When the authorities arrived they had us excavate a bit more of the body. We had only found a few parts of the skull after all. Anyway, we ended up finding the guys wallet. He had gone missing in the late 70's and was suspected of being mob related. All in all, still not the craziest day I had in Nevada, but I don't feel like telling that story in a comments section on youtube.

Casino is a master piece. The amount or realism and behind the scenes lore is endless. About 2 dozen cameos, of real life performers, actual lawyers, comedians, singers, etc Most character personalities based directly on the actual characters. Eye popping scene was based on reality, so many reenactments of the actual events with the actual people that were there,. Top filmmaking, cinematography, lighting, soundtrack, acting, costume, etc
Sharon won the golden globe and nominated for best actress.

The real Ginger and Lester were high school sweethearts that had a child together. Lester's real name was Lenny, Lenny told Gerri(real name of Ginger) to move to Vegas to become a showgirl. The real Rothstein became an FBI informant at some point before 1982, and helped the FBI nail a bunch of casinos for the skimming technique they became infamous for.
