As a German who is very chatty I never feel like Germans are not into smalltalk. I have my nice little talks with other Germans every day. In shops, at the U Bahn ect.🤷🏼♀️

I haven't been to McDonalds in 12 years (in Germany) because it's just such crappy food. I can't even begin to imagine what it must be like in the US!

Ich habe mir McD’s & Co. abgewöhnt, seit über 10 Jahren. Wenn Fastfood, dann Bratwurst oder Döner.

The triple pane is actually about heat insulation not necessary about noise reduction

I'm reminded of the (by now to me) good old cliché of the European flight customer being provided with the hotel voucher by someone with a grumpy attitude whereas the American is denied almost any compensation - with a smile.

My son flew from Chicago to Abu Dhabi with a stopover in Zurich, Switzerland. His connecting flight to Abu Dhabi was cancelled, and rebooking was delayed by 12 hours; he received USD 1000 for the delay. This is related to the Schengen agreement, mainly in Europe.

the noise reduction of the 3 pane windows is the most underated point. 😉🤭

10:41 Concerning external noise: The Germans take peace and quiet seriously. Germany is the country where public recycling bins come with instructions including "But don't do it between this time and that time, because that's when small children have their nap." Germans believe in the freedom to have peace and quiet; Americans believe in the license to make noise.

We’re not lining up at McDonald’s to get a Big Mac. We’re lining up to get a double Quarter Pounder with bacon.
