  Bread is one of those bands that does not get the recognition that they really truly deserve. They have always been one of my favorites since I was a young girl in the 70&apos;s. They just did not do enough music.

  My mom died four months ago. &nbsp;When Alzheimer&apos;s took her mind, our conversations became me singing to her and this was often on the playlist. &nbsp;My singing sucks, but she loved it. &nbsp;That&apos;s how she was.<br><br>Love you mom.

  Music today doesn&apos;t compel this sort of emotional response in people. This is a lost art of music from the past. I hope some day we return to this sort of music, where lyrics have a message, and is relatable.

  I am a child of the 1970s...i came into adulthood in the mid-seventies...Bread was as important to me as was The Carpenters, Fleetwood Mac, The Eagles and Led Zeppelin. &nbsp;Beautiful music always moves you emotionally... never be ashamed of those emotions. &nbsp;It shows you&apos;re human.

  My niece and I performed this at my Mothers funeral. When she couldn&apos;t continue, I took over the vocals, and soon everyone in the congregation joined in to finish the song. This is what we used to call, back in the 60&apos;s and 70&apos;s, &quot;A happening&quot;. A moment that will stay with me forever.
