First heard Time Has Told Me by Nick Drake in 1970. And it sounds as magical today as it did then.

The Changing Man has had numerous influences over time, some more long-lasting than others. They start with early rock'n'roll - Chuck Berry et al, The Beatles, Who, Small Faces, Kinks etc plus Sixties Soul, and Motown in particular. Ever-evolving, always listening to music since a kid he's always on the hunt for new sounds and influences, and it's a long list should you try to compile it, but includes Bowie, Curtis Mayfield, 70's/Philly Soul, the artists on this video and many more besides, including some lesser known artists and genres. Like a musical magpie, and a true fan of music, he isn't as narrow in his likes as he once appeared. From folk, soul, jazz, disco, house, reggae, funk, blues, rock, indie and beyond our Boy Wonder has amassed a lifetime of knowledge and inspiration. Long May He Reign.

Reading many Weller interviews over the years, Lennon or and McCartney would be on this list, he’s cited the Beatles as his biggest influence, then the likes of the Who, Kinks, Small Faces, and Dr Feelgood for their explosive live sound….
