  Depreciation is meaningless if you plan on keeping your Subaru indefinitely.  My 2016 Forester is still going strong

  I have a 2022 Outback. The car is bulletproof, absolutely no problems whatsoever. CVT fluid changed at 60,000 regular oil changes every 5000. Put new set of Michelin defenders on it at 50,000.. dealer said the brakes are good , No need to replace. It is an absolutely great car built like a tank..

  My cost of operation and maintenance of a 2015 Forester XT is very reasonable. It has only cost me oil changes, tires, batteries, one cooling system flush and refill, one differential oil change, cabin filter, engine filter, windshield wipers I get for free when the engine oil is changed, and one very recent DIY MAF sensor cleaning and idle retrain because of intermittent rough idle, hesitation, very infrequent stalling. The major reason for the minimal operation and maintenance cost is the extremely low 36,000 KM driven since purchased new during August 2014.

  Obviously someone who doesn’t appreciate the Subaru brand. To keep your car running you need to do maintenance. This is more the just change your oil. Change your fluids transmission differential coolant and brake. This will keep your Subaru running smoothly and reliable. Keeping record of your service also helps increase the trade in value on a new vehicle

  Good stuff, Pre 2012 I had a 96 Outback great car. I had 3 foresters, great cars. All manual. Since I had 3 WRX hatchbacks and still own the last one I bought new. It's a 2014, last model year. Unless Subaru brings back a WRX like hatch I'm never selling mine.

  Wife has a Crosstrek and I drive an  Outback.  MPG is very  close, 1 mpg less in the Outback.   Outback is a much better car imho   and worth more money.    AI BS.

  Forester is my pick.  It has the best sight lines of any passenger vehicle.  Very important for older drivers with a reduced visual field.

  Maintenance is the key, and don’t flog the shit out of your SUBY. GOTTA KEEP UP ON THE FLUIDS
