  My 2024 Crostrek Wilderness got hit from behind while stoped waiting to turn left off a highway in the campground, last Saturday. The car that hit us a Camry was going over 75 mph. It pushed our trailer hitch and ball under the floorboards on the rear seat. Cars totaled the grandkids and myself are fine other then being covered in tigers blood snowcone juice.<br>The trooper just shook his head and said &quot;they lived&quot;.<br>Yesterday took delivery of a new 2026 Outback Wilderness in pearl white, with some nice options. 2k off plus 500 military discount and zero percent for 75 months. It goes in next week to get the OEM hitch with 4 and 7 wire plugs and they no longer cut the bumper to clear it has a removable plate. Long post I realize, but after the wreck and looking at how that Subaru protected us I didn&apos;t even think twice about buying another Subaru. Stay safe and camp safe!

  I went with the 2025 Forester Premium. I went in wanting the Outback. I was shocked at how I had less leg room than my 2013 Accord in the 2025 Outback. I sat in the Forester and was shocked at how much roomier the Forester was; made the choice easy.

  I thought I wanted the Outback but too big for my garage. &nbsp;I bought the 2026 Forester Touring and I love it.

  Drove both the Outback and Forrester Touring models today. Both were really good! But, the wife is currently in a CX-9 Signature so the Outback XT Touring was preference. She also felt the fit and finish was good on both

  I went to look at the Forester, and realized I liked the Outback in person more. Currently on my short list after a test drive. I will say the Forester does have some lag on the infotainment screen in comparison to the Outback.

  We just went through this, replacing a 9 year old Buick Envision with 150,000 miles on it. We looked at both models. &nbsp;Not mentioned, the Outback front dashboard has a carpet on the front of it if you get anything but the top trim. &nbsp;The Forester has a plastic front to the dashboard but a soft touch otherwise. &nbsp;We managed to get a top of the line Touring for less than $40,000 so while they list the list prices - you can get it for much cheaper if you are decent negotitator.

  I &nbsp;have a Forester and was a former owner of a 2010 six cylinder Outback. &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp;The now four cylinder Outback really is too heavy &nbsp;to be just a &nbsp;4 cylinder &nbsp;engine. &nbsp; Like so many auto makers they have gone to smaller engines, some with turbos.
