  Poor Alexei, he was doomed anyway with his haemophilia. Spent his whole life suffering agonising pain because of bleeds, was crippled because of it -let's face it, he was 13 and his father had to carry him like a small child into that cellar.  And then to die like that, shot and hacked apart after seeing his family murdered.

  Thank you for not turning this into a nefarious story about Alexandria and Rasputin. There are so many stories I have watched on this that tell the information, but focus more on Rasputin than Nikolas or the nightmare of the peasants &amp; the Imperial family during this time in history.

  I really enjoy listening to the way you tell these stories, in particular this one. I didn’t even realize until the end that there was no mention of Rasputin, which is a great thing. He was not necessary to the story. I feel the compassion in your voice when you were talking about the children. Quite heart-warming.
