  It&apos;s so refreshing to have a channel not say things like &quot;unalive&quot; and &quot;grape&quot; using the actual words gives the correct amount of weight to a story like this. It is unimaginable what these people went through and I hope there&apos;s a special place in hell for this man. Great video as always, I&apos;m slowly working my way through your content, I highly recommend it all.

  You’re doing good work. I think most historians think they’re doing people a favor by not including the gruesome anecdotes of the Nazis but in reality it prevents people from understanding the truth of how cruel they were. The lack of censorship is much appreciated.

  He got beaten to death in the prison of Althausen in early June 1945. &nbsp;Over 3 nights, he and another prisoner, &nbsp;August Minch, &nbsp;head of the Gestapo of Althausen were beaten by the Polish guards ( and some French, plus a 16 year old Jewish survivor). &nbsp;Apparently they both screamed a great deal. &nbsp;This was witnessed by a Luftwaffe officer who shared their cell as well as by a German Red Cross nurse. Justice.

  <a href="https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ztJswwK0f6w&amp;t=1522">25:22</a> As a German myself, this is actually one of the most haunting parts for me to wrap my head around: The fact that people willingly made photos and posed for these photos while doing atrocities, war crimes and coverups. These are not photos done by the victors to villainize the enemy or for documentary/bureaucracy: These are photos from the inside of the system only possibly done by the soldiers themselves, most likely from soldiers „having fun at work“ or at best „showing how they work“
