  This is the game where the Celtics show their true colors...And this is why the 1986 Boston Celtics is one the greatest teams of the 80s ...Celtics pride all the way🍀👍

  The Celtics&apos; swarming team defense was the kryptonite to the Twin Towers, who had just dominated and humiliated the Lakers. &nbsp;Double and triple teams against every post up, with relentless team rebounding. &nbsp; The Rockets had no plan B.

  Larry Bird said he played his best game of his career in this game. Who could argue? Bird-29 pts, 11 rebounds, 12 assists.

  Bird let the game come to him, and he cashed in. He did everything throughout the game, tip balls, defense, scoring, passing, shooting. The 86 Celtics was the greatest team ever.

  This is one of the all-time great Finals games and easily the greatest game of Larry Bird’s astounding career. There has never been a greater performance by a small forward. And the passing and defense by the Celtics is world-class.<br><br>Also, even though the Rockets lost, this is also one of the greatest performances by Hakeem Olajuwon, and it’s only his second season by this point. Olajuwon was absolutely everywhere and at <a href="https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lHeeqZFDUSg&amp;t=2427">40:27</a> you gotta love that early Dream Shake move. His footwork is THE BEST I’ve ever seen from a center. But not even his mighty talent could overcome the 1986 Boston Celtics. <br><br>What an awesome game!!
