  Definitely a classic Larry Bird game: 39p (on 24 shots), 12r, 10a, 3s.

Real basketball. Notice these guys know how to drive to the hole, take contact, and finish. They know how to shoot the midrange shot. She read the floor better. Today’s NBA sucks!

This game was played on the Sunday I graduated from college.  Being a diehard Celtics fan, I had to be pried away from the game to attend the ceremony.

Nothing like big-time playoff games at the Boston Garden! Great stuff!

This may have been the first year that the 3 pointer became a legitimate weapon.

I remember this well. I give the Knicks a lot of credit but there was no way they were going to win a game 7 in Boston. But they got their revenge in '90.

The lions den which is the legendary Boston Garden"...Great game of basketball by the Boston Celtics, but it was also the same year that John "Hondo" Havilcek and Sam Jones were inducted into the Hall of fame...Rest in peace to both Great players of the Celtics dynasty

How I miss the Dick Stockton's narration (alongside of the great T Heinsohn, of course).
