  I have read all your comments, so thank you for them. I did not intend to even include the part about the photos in my vlog, but because the men decided to chase me and try to steal my camera, I had to share it. I realize that these men do not reflect the Syrian people, and I also respect that there was a miscommunication regarding the initial price. However, none of that justifies them chasing me. <br><br>Thanks for all your feedback! It&apos;s always appreciated.

  Just for clarification the camera man didn’t scam u dear he said 1 dollar (15000) per photo and u agreed on that and u said that’s cheap ! Then after that he asked u to select what u liked so he can calculate how much to charge u.. &nbsp;u left it up to him so he chose to charge u for all 25 ! But that doesn’t mean u need to pay for all! At least u could have selected one or two and pay 1 usd &nbsp;or 2 and call it a day! They probably got upset bcs he spent time for taking 25 photos of u and u left them without at least paying for one! <br><br>100% misunderstanding and I agree they shouldn’t have touch u or anything!

  You didn’t get scammed, you wasted their time; they asked you how many photos you wanted and charged you 15k per photo. There have been miscommunication on both sides. You should consider putting the effort by bringing a translator along with you.<br><br>Edit: <br><br>1- They didn’t force him to buy the 25 photos he could’ve bought a photo or 2; they asked him to choose and because of the misccommunication that happenes between them they thought that he meant all of it. <br><br>2- are you guys seriously considering a dollar per picture overpriced? Have you seen how much they charge for a photo in Times Square? <br><br>3- taking 25 photos and not paying a penny imagine how long it took them to do this photoshoot how do you expect them to behave after all that work and this dude just decides to leave.

  I&apos;m ‏ Syrian expatriate originally from Damascus, and I generally avoid the areas you visited today. Unfortunately, those places have a high rate of theft and scams, and the people there can be quite uncivilized. You may be trying to save money by not hiring a tour guide or translator, but in doing so, you&apos;re missing out on many great tourist spots and exposing yourself to unpleasant situations.

  Hey, you should totally check out Homs! It&apos;s like, two hours from Damascus. I hope you spend more time in Syria, every city is amazing. Syria, in general, is full of history and surprises you won&apos;t find anywhere else.
