I Ripped Out My Summer Container… Look What I Planted Instead!

The summer container at the barn had officially reached the point where IT HAD TO GO! 😂 It was gorgeous for months, but after a long, hot North Carolina summer, the sweet potato vine, SunPatiens and the rest of the summer planting were DONE. So today we're ripping everything out and completely transforming our big water trough for fall, winter and early spring. My goal for this container was simple: evergreen color, beautiful texture and LOW maintenance. And, in true Jenny fashion, I started with a plan...and then changed it approximately 47 times while planting. 😂 We're using a gorgeous mix of plants including Night Light Chamaecyparis as our focal point, Aspidistra, Utopia, Feather Falls Carex, Southern Comfort Heuchera, Miz America mustard, Penny Peach Jump Up violas and Silver Edge thyme.
