  Duck Duck Goose - not a children&apos;s game but a mistake I made at <a href="https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UHoDi_MPj2k&amp;t=547">09:07</a> - thank you for everyone who pointed out that the &apos;duck&apos; I mentioned - without really thinking about it - is actually a greylag goose - and a very gorgeous fellow he is.

  Great tip on the lilacs. They do tend to get really gangly, but I love the idea of using their tendencies as a positive rather than a negative.<br><br>I think one thing we can easily forget about as gardeners is that many of the plants will outlive us, and it&apos;s something we should consider when incorporating brutish, fast growing/spreading, and controllable invasives. We may be able to clip, cut, and chop the plants to our will while we are young and spry, but the plants will have vigor for many more years than we will!

  The clever idea of combining lilacs and roses was interesting. It is a simple idea but one tends to plant them apart to spread out the shrubs over the border.

  Didn&apos;t even think of pruning Lilac like that, beautiful. We bought a garden (with attached house, but who cares about that :p) two years ago and there&apos;s a large area of Lilac out the side, I didn&apos;t actually know what it was for the longest time as it was pruned more like a hedge before we took ownership. I didn&apos;t even think it flowered unil it did and the smell filled the garden. I&apos;ll be digging 1-2 out this autumn and making a show of them, thank you! :)

  The mini dead hedge looked so inviting with its curves. I also appreciate the ideas for matching lilac with bulbs. I think that would be lovely ❤

  I&apos;m into rewilding &amp; i make stick piles. It was so rewarding to see insects &amp; birds move in. <br>I enjoyed your video about Wisley. It beautifully captured pockets of the gardens.

  If anyone from RHS is reading, you need to trial westrignia (Aussie Box or Grey Box) in your boxwood replacement trials! It’s surviving in -6, damp clay in my garden and will probably go even colder.

  For North America: &nbsp;Amethyst Falls wistera is native, noninvasive and very beautiful! I have it in my garden and love it.

  How amazing you are labeling the plants you show (I know that must take so much time and planning and effort, but its much appriciated). Thank you for showing us this garden so sensitively. I love lilac but seldom see them growing in gardens so it was lovely seeing them and hearing the tips about growing them.
