  I&apos;m disappointed that the main gun wasn&apos;t fired into the engine, to try flipping the car. The car&apos;s very thin sheet metal bodypanels didn&apos;t provide much resistance to penetration, to impart momentum.<br>I expect that muzzle-blast, along with the projectile impacting might have had more of a result, if the car was at or on the muzzle of the main gun.

  I think the think the conclusive blast of the gun, and not just to projectile, would have made a difference.<br> &nbsp;Especially with the concussive blast of the gun going off inside of the actual vehicle.

  The 6 pounder on the mark 8 was a lower velocity high explosive round.

  On the last test, the exhaust gases directly on the vehicle would have helped propel it.

  It&apos;s relatively easy to work out the kinetic energy of a 15 pound projectile travelling at 1800fps. If the car could be made to absorb most of that energy, which in this case it clearly didn&apos;t, you could work out whether it would have a chance of moving the vehicle. Yes, firing it into the engine or diff or anything more solid would&apos;ve helped. Maybe they didn&apos;t want to risk a ricochet though.
