  Wait, people thought Odysseus shot an arrow through the metal of twelve axes?! I never thought that. I always imagine it as you did, with the holes in the axe heads. In fact, until this video, I have never imagined the socket or cross versions, either.

  Impressive as hell shot aside, can we talk about the arrow <b>shattering</b> the axe haft?! That was goddamn terrifying and perhaps one of the greatest examples I&apos;ve EVER seen for contextualizing the sheer power of a war bow. And that was only 110 lbs! In the late Medieval period there were some that went all the way to 160, and even 180 lbs of draw weight!
