  I totally understand the want to skip the classifying process, but I can&apos;t help but think about how it messes with the riffles, having the larger rocks tumbling down/getting stuck, etc. I&apos;ll probably always classify to 1/4&quot; just as a personal preference. I don&apos;t have any personal experience with the larger Vortex mat, but in my opinion I&apos;d leave it for areas with larger, chunkier gold. Stick with Micro/Cape-D or Cape-D/Mini combo mats for smaller flood gold. As soon as the rivers go down, I&apos;ll be using the same sized box you bought, but with a combo mat. My 8&quot; with Micro/Cape-D has been killing it! Thanks for taking us along on your 3 day journey! That was a good watch!🎉

  Glad to see you having fun slucing. &nbsp;I always classify my material to 1/4&quot; or less even tho they say you don&apos;t need to. All it takes is one rock tumbling down and pausing for a second over one of the cells to change the water flow to blow the gold out of the cell. <br><br>Many times I&apos;ll put a catch pan at the end of the sluce to pan to check if I&apos;m losing any gold as well. <br>Good luck and really enjoy your video&apos;s.
