  Never trust what the previous owner says about the maintenance of a car their selling. They'll jerk you around and lie through their teeth, all the time, telling you they did all the car maintenance services, mean while they did nothing.

  Timing belt kit is a must do maintenance item.<br>When it breaks , its a mess of bent valves etc.<br>Was more important then any of the other stuff you did.

  I happen to have a washer fluid tank for sale if you&apos;re interested! <br><br>I have also run into the compression tester getting stuck and the fitting just spins when you try to loosen it. You can attach the end to a drill and put it in reverse and run it as fast as possible and it should cause the compression tester to break free from the spark plug hole. <br><br>Also, sometimes with a bad head gasket the car won&apos;t overheat at idle but it will when you go drive it. It looks like you drove it so you may have fixed the issue but just be aware! I have seen a plugged or partially plugged heater cores cause a bad head gasket resulting in overheating. The Subie life definitely comes with its issues; this is the way.
