Sir Conan Doyle, the writer is from Scotland, is my direct relative on my father’s side. My dad’s middle name is Doyle. My sister is the spitting image of the writer. I kid you not.

My great-grandfather went to Canada from Ireland. He was given land to make money for his family and the UK. His last name was Conway. My other great grandfather is from Ireland to Canada, his last name was Cain he was a Baptist minister horse back to town to town. My great-grandmother came from Scotland and married my great-grandfather Conway.

LOTS of FitzGeralds in my family tree, but none of them recent. The recent ones--1850--are Connel from County Clare and Hogan from County Cork.
