You're pretty good......Honestly though this is amazing. I love the breakdown of the process and tools used along with the hurdles encountered along the way. Subscribed and looking forward to more!

I love this! But, the codec is actually nanomachines that vibrate Snake's inner eardrum.

In MGS1 the Codec was already nanoscale enough that it was actually just built into the ear channel itself. Hence why it's visuals during the calls are so ambiguous, as it wasn't really a device that the caller would look at. Not sure how the people saw each other over the device though.

This is how the internet and youtube is best used.

The best part is that Snake has a codec conversation with the colonel (MGS) about the fact that they can't see each other.

Snake and all other codec users: talks about each other's visual details

Stellar work. Absolutely amazing. However this device is something i assume snake would have used in Snake Eater. I must have been way ahead of my time as a kid but i imagined the codec like a large gshock style calculator watch with a FaceTime screen at the top with a throat mic and ear pice for communication. The headphone jack and cord would attach along the users arm. A lot of times in the cutscenes Snake just holds his finger to his ear. If you could actually make something that small that could wirelessly brodcast a low resolution but high frame rate green FaceTime communication across a small distance, id be speechless. Im already blown away by your work.

I love that this guy is so passionate about these projects. Way more fun than watching someone just churn out content for the sake of content

now you shove a game boy advance in it and make a metal gear solid 3d game run in there.

Seeing as mgs takes place in 2005. You can definitely upgrade the look and feel of it as early 2000's nostalgia.
