  Based on how the Egyptian divisions at Kadesh seem to be organized with their own infantry and chariot units and seem to act in a way that looks like they would march separately and then concentrate for battle, it does seem to be based on the information that's available, one of the earliest examples of what we might call a corps system which would be nuts considering that this is three thousand years before the corps system of Napoleonic France.
