I am SO THANKFUL to have you be on this journey ahead of me. I just got an antique counterbalance loom that looks very similar to this and it has been incredibly helpful to know that I can follow along with you!! Thank you!

I’m talking with Camilla Valley Farm too to restore a 1984 Leclerc Artisat 24”! We drove almost 3 hours to get it. And the lady had an older 24” Ashford rigid heddle she sold me. In 6 months I got a 2 shaft table loom, now a 4 shaft floor loom and rigid heddle loom 😂😂 told my husband no more 😅 Her husband was glad to see them go. Mine was like “oh no” 😆

I have the very same loom named Greta after the original owner who passed away and handed it down to a friend, whom I then bought it from. After many hours searching videos, and the Leclerc site, I found some archived manuals with instructions on how to put her together. Then I discovered your video and it was like wow! That’s my loom!  I am a new weaver, learning from YouTube and I so appreciate all your videos! I started with a 16 inch rigid heddle and now have my Greta too. I can’t thank you enough for your videos, I am very grateful you are sharing your knowledge😊

I adopted one of these in parts from the local weavers guild in Ottawa, I was terrified I had no castle but then after searching I found the original counter balance picture. Now I find this video and am super happy. I still have to restore the parts, but am excited as I think I have everything.

Thank you for the assembly demonstration. I have a loom like this, but have no idea how to use it. I hope to learn . Your videos have been helpful and encouraging.

You are so adorable.  Your grammar is amazing, as is your command of English. Also I love your excitement for your loom.

Thanks for this video. I too have acquired a Leclerc Nilus II Counter Balance that is from the early 80’s or earlier. It’s all in pieces and needs cleaning as I go along.

Today I cleaned and assembled. I didn’t quite understand what I had when I watched your video last night, but have the same exact loom. I think a few pieces were swapped out but I have the same stamp and construction. I was thinking I was missing parts because the more modern brake system is different. This one is much simpler. I look forward to watching you set the warp on your first project.<br>Thanks for making this video. I am not sure what I would have done with out it.
