  I'm lazy so I insert two lease sticks into each side of the cross while the warp is on the board and secure the two sticks (which have holes drilled at the ends) with large metal jailor's keyrings.  After the chokes and chaining, I then transfer to my loom and the sticks are inserted into my "helping hands" frame for tying on to the loom and putting the warp ends into a raddle.  the lease sticks also serve as a tensioning device when winding. I can then move the lease sticks to the base of my table loom to thread from the same cross.  it saves a  little time and lot of effort.

  Thanks. I am a total beginner.  What are the cross ties for?  I am still confused as to how to setup my warp and do it indirectly.

  Love this.  Where is the video on to safely take that warp to and dress the loom.  I’m working with a big Schacht rigid heddle loom which is on a stand.
