  Jerry Lewis was a buffoon. &nbsp;I grew up in that era and NEVER found &nbsp;Jerry Lewis funny.. &nbsp;He was irritating his humor was sophomoric and I thought is unforgivable that he left his children nothing when he died. &nbsp;Speaks volumes about who he was.

  Dean Martin was a multi-talented performer. Great singer. <br><br>Other than his major contribution to film-making, Jerry was rather a one-trick pony. His solo comedy career hasn&apos;t aged well, for the most part. I LOVED Jerry Lewis movies....when I was 8-10 years old. As I grew up, my tastes changed. Some who claim that they were inspired by Lewis--Steve Martin and Robin Williams--became my lifetime favorites. I embraced many who came to fame through Laugh-In, 1970&apos;s SNL and 1980&apos;s SCTV and still love them today. Much of Jerry&apos;s humor is now dated. It didn&apos;t age well. He did not adapt to the changes in society. Had Jerry learned to make himself the butt of his own jokes....in other words, to laugh at himself....he would have. <br><br>Unfortunately, stardom really brings out the worst in people. I even saw it in the local theater. Those who had been cast in many plays were rather arrogant and looked down on newcomers....despite their &quot;stardom&quot; being limited to a small local theater! Saw the same in high school drama club. Those that had been cast in multiple plays had big egos and mouths. Some were actually quite nasty. One I considered a friend suddenly got the bright idea to step on the bottom of my pants leg (I graduated in 1979, so that should give a clue)..which made me fall down a short flight of concrete stairs. (Needless to say, I steered clear of him and no longer considered him a friend after that). He was a short guy that was big on stage talent. He was one of the earliest classmates to pass away. Fell over dead from a massive heart attack at 40 years old. 🙄 After he caused me to fall, I made sure he was NEVER behind me. He was talented musically and had stage presence. As a person.....nope.
