  Rio Bravo may be my favorite western.<br>It&apos;s name tells it all. &nbsp;Four or five guys cornered with nowhere else to go up against lousy odds and lousy pay.<br>That dam music constantly playing; beautiful, haunting and full of the end.<br>. &nbsp; &nbsp;. &nbsp; &nbsp;&apos;And then not only achieving, but conquering:<br>Bravo &nbsp;. &nbsp; .<br>I&apos;ve been learning a few things about Dean Martin lately; I now consider him much more mysterious than I ever previously gave him credit for.<br>I certainly never appreciated that scene with the cigarette.<br>I&apos;ve never been thousands of dollars in debt.<br>I don&apos;t have multiple wives and multiple alimony.<br>I&apos;ve never had a career, or lack of one, about to end and that much pressure beating down on me like a wall of concrete.<br>I was in a rehearsal technique class with a now defunct acting school formerly called The National Shakespeare Conservatory.<br>There were great and fun times, but also overwhelmingly intense times.<br>In this class I had a teacher named Casey Kizziah. &nbsp;It was his job to teach amateurs the basics of character development and &nbsp;. &nbsp;. &nbsp;and &nbsp;. &nbsp;. &nbsp;motivation (?)<br>(I think Casey hated that word.)<br>I was doing scenework with another fellow student actor. &nbsp;In the middle of it he stopped us and told the rest of the class:<br>&quot;People &nbsp;. &nbsp;. &nbsp;Don&apos;t make a movie &nbsp;. &nbsp;.&quot;<br>What followed afterwards was the most grueling thirty minutes of my life.<br>Maybe it was longer.<br>I can&apos;t remember half the shit he told us, but I can&apos;t do anything without constantly remembering and hearing his voice:<br>&quot;What is it all about?<br>What are you trying to do?<br>What are you trying to tell us?&quot;<br>It&apos;s unbelievable pressure just in a class room.<br>Can you imagine just how Dean Martin felt?<br>We&apos;ll never know all of his demons.<br>As I read more about him, I learn more though.

  They dressed poor Ricky Nelson up to look like Montgomery Clift in “Red River” (1948). Nelson did have a slight resemblance to Clift; but the former was a rock star,<br>the latter a great actor.

  Susan, I grew up with John Wayne. Please check his bio. He was not what you said. He was a kind caring man, friend and father. Extremely hard working. In his last movie he plays a man dying from cancer which he was. Two years later he succumbs to it. He couldn&apos;t serve his country because they would not let him due to a bad knee. So, he went to war in the movies and visited thousands of servicemen overseas. That&apos;s how he served his country and us viewers.
