  To paraphrase: 1) Don&apos;t be too proud to ask for help like the pharisee. Be humble like the publican who admitted he was in need. 2) Be specific. Have a goal. You can not aim and hit a target if you don&apos;t know where it is. 3) Instead of seeking gratification in getting what you want (which is more pride), be grateful towards God and for his grace for what you already have received. Seek grace and gratitude, not gratification. 4) approach God with faith as if he is a good and gracious Father who provides for your needs. You can not always get what you want. What you want are numerous. What you need are fewer. It is easier to get what you need than what you want but don&apos;t need.

  St. Porphyrios said to pray for the love of Christ to consume you. I started to do this Father. I found myself praying for too many specifics and for what I wanted not what God wanted. After I say my evening prayers, I always ask for God to fill me with the love of Christ. Thank you, Father for your videos. They are very helpful.<br><br>Your fellow servant in Christ,<br>Fr.   My prayers have been answered Father, I am now a baptized member of the Archangel Gabriel Orthodox Church. &nbsp;All Glory to God! &nbsp;My baptismal name is Cyprian (Antioch) and I am 66 years old. &nbsp;Please pray for me Father as my new life begins. &nbsp;Lord have Mercy!

  I am currently inquiring after leaving Protestantism. I’ve felt that my prayers are too casual/general and not as they should be. I prayed last night asking for clarity on how I should properly and this video came up this morning. Glory to God.

  Sometimes I don’t pray for specific things because I don’t know if they are good for me. I will pray tonight that God will heal my body. Thank you for this video
