The end of the adventure, back on the beach with the bubbles and the music, just. ugh. It had me sobbing as a kid and it still has me tearing up as an adult. This game was truly something else.

Pmd was definitely was my first encounter with deeper storytelling as a kid. And it rightfully blew my mind.

that bit of dialogue between Grovyle and Dusknoir in special episode 5 changed my life. I was getting philosophical questioning the meaning of life at the age of 9. this game was able to make such a deep message understandable for children in a sea of pieces of fiction that treat kids as if they are stupid

Sometimes something beautiful falls in your lap at 5am and you cry.

That clip at 30:00, of Palkia walking up, wondering if it is a big lottery win and then being started by the wall being smashed is golden

mystery dungeon reminds some of us how we used to be as a child, sometimes dumb, naive, lack of knowledge but always persistent, pure and innocent, full of life, friendly, brave and heart always on the right place. and some of that traits slowly fades away as we grow up, and that's when these games broke us

Saw my teary reflection in my phone screen when the fade to black happens after you disappear. The same thing happened to kid me in the reflection of my DS. I'm 26 now. Hair thinning, injuries persisting longer, tired all the time, and that all just intensifies with time. Still, in the reflection, I was reminded that the kid is still there. I don't think anyone ever stops being a kid, not fully. It was nice to see him again. Thank you.

Glad to know the consensus is that everyone cried at the ending as a kid.
Personally I sobbed SO hard that my dad thought something was genuinely wrong and rushed to me, and got so mad when he found out it was because of a video game. 😅

No matter how many times I've played this game (upwards of 10+ now) I ALWAYS cry at the scenes after Dialga. I love this game so, so much

The fact that during the cutscene after Temporal Tower, that I can clearly imagine an extremely heart-wrenching voice-acted performance despite this game not having any voice acting, is proof of how beautiful it is.

This is probably my favourite game of all time because of what it meant to me when I was younger, and I still have my original cartridge that I have reset repeatedly over the years.

I want to go back home, reset it again, and play through the game, while actually doing all of the post-game things that you spoke of.

Good video, sir. Loved every second of it.
