  Of course the Swedish lady is more fluent in English than the US couple. Imagine being worse at your native language than someone speaking it as a secondary language.

  I ran a pub in a tourist town in England - we had a sign behind the bar that all Americans must be accompanied by an adult !!!!

  Had my fair share of this with Americans on Austrian trains. I don't put up with it any longer. Last time, I recorded it, showed it to the conductor, and he kicked them off at the next station. Unfortunately it was the last train of the day, in the middle of nowhere. Karma's a b*tch 🫠

  In the Nordic countries, we expect MORE from someone in their 60s than someone in their 20s, not less. The older you get, the longer you've had to learn proper polite behavior and self control. I think it's silly to be annoyed that the young lady used the charger from their seats when they weren't using it, but even if they were annoyed, they're expected to control their emotions and behave politely! Their kind of behavior is something you expect from a child who hasn't learned basic emotional control yet. How embarrassing to reach this couple's age without learning how to behave in public.

  I think that the young lady had reserved the seats and the Muricans didn't care and just sat where they wanted simply because 'we're American and we're the main characters!'

  It seems pretty clear that the American couple sat down in seats that were not reserved for them. And may have been reserved for somebody else. That's what the woman seems to be saying. So there're in the wrong way
