  I found this very interesting and could relate to a lot. <br>I left my son&apos;s father in 2013, as he was very controlling, manipulating, and isolated me from family and friends. Between March 2013 and Oct 2020 he uses the court system to continue controlling our life&apos;s and run me down. At no point was the mental abuse I suffered for 6 years ever mentioned in court! It wasn&apos;t the right thing to do. <br>We started off in courts in Milton Keynes where I found the judges tougher with my son father but when moved to Slough and Reading courts where it felt like he ruled rather than the judges. <br>I&apos;m 13.5 years out of the relationship with an almost 16 year old and still suffering separation abuse as he can&apos;t except he&apos;s no longer in control of our situation. It&apos;s horrible to see our son now being controlled and manipulated as I was, by his dad and worried for his future. <br>It can feel very lonely, once in the court system. It feels like so many other professionals don&apos;t want to get involved or help (social care, early help) and just suggest going back to court even though financially you can&apos;t afford it and it&apos;s broken you once already. <br>I&apos;ve felt for a long time there is no justice in the justice system! 😔 <br>I wish I&apos;d been able to find someone to support me like you two x

  Very interesting. Very sad. Very frustrating. Thanks for this. &nbsp;These are peoples&apos; lives! The fear of family court is like nothing else. Being in the hands of a judge&apos;s viewpoint on the day which can change the course of your children&apos;s lives forever. It&apos;s truly terrifying.

  Great talk...<br>I feel the female presenter needs to be a little more equal in the presentation, ie men and women are victims. Less negative about men being the only parental alienation acuser - happens both ways. <br>Also worth noting that victim and perpertrator are not definitive terms, not as black and white as depicted - a victim can be a perpertrator and a perpertrator a victim - this would be the normal rather than outlier. <br><br>The example of economic abuse of a spreadsheet being used to do with spending - in the real world this is very common for joint descision on the spending on a budget (the example could have arguements in both directions of financial abuse). Is one person spending above the budget - is spending to much abuse, or is stopping the spending with budget abuse? <br><br>Victim perpertrator - evidence, why does family law not evidence based when it comes to DV, a party felt scared, but no evidence... whom is the more likely to be physical - but avoid the more tricky psyhcological/manipulative abuse. <br><br>The seperation is generally (outside of real dv) two parties struggling to move eg from a 4 person house, to two 3 person houses - this being a psychological problem not a legal &nbsp;problem - the best interest of the child to have both parents in their lives - how does that happen... lawyer and judges are not psychologist - why do they get away with practising as if one, flip the scrip if a psychologist practiced law the psychologist would be sued... why does the legal system get away it. <br>Treatment is quite often or not what the parents need not legal fees, slinging dirt at the other party for financial gain, time gained with children by the legal system. <br><br>So out here in australia there is a parent that was burnt alive bybanother parent, petrol poured over the parent and burnt alive - and its normal that the child still wants to see that parent... .........<br><br> the mother.... the best interest of the child required assessment by psychologist - treatment in how the mother child would see each other - not courts untrained in psycholigical treatment.. <br><br>Anyone else goes to a doctor gets treatment... seperated parents/families have psycholigical problems and they get a parenting plan.. &nbsp;this does seem so wrong. <br><br>Evidence of harm, wow social workers are not the &nbsp;baseline for a diagnosys nor treatment, a psychologist appropriately &nbsp;trained would be.<br><br>Attachment based parental alienation is in the dsm5 the diagnosys being.. mild medium or severe... wow definition is very poor in this video. <br>Lawyer/barristers diacussing a psychological diagnosys. <br>Id suggest a look at the limerick university study on psychological as oposed to physical abuse. <br><br><br>Dr Craig Childress talks on this subject - attachment based parental alienation.<br>You tube &quot;ACS 1&quot;.<br> <br>The international parental alienation conference is being run in perth australia in october. &nbsp;<br><br>Using parental alienation as a sheild - im sure it happens - equally domestic violence is also used as a victim weapon.... i feel this should also have been discussed / debated equally. <br><br>Look at PA from this angle not raising a suggestion / possibility of parental alienation (Pa) in court or rather to the proffessional in this medical field a treating psychologist would be likened to going to a doctor saying im here doctor, &nbsp;they ask whats wrong with you- the patient then says well you tell me your the doctor.. of course the doctor might say well what are your symptons... and the doctor would say - ahhh let me investigate futher, maybe some tests - and the patient gets a (hopefully) a diagnosys.... but with attachment based parental alienation courts dont give a diagnosys which a suitably qualified professional trained in the right field should give....they get custody evaluations... <br><br><br>Judges are not trained psychologist im amazed at the suggestion of using social workers - or judges to give a diagnosys... seperation is a very complex medical psycholocical matter - child psychology is a more complex area. <br><br>I like the comment &quot; there is problems with the family courts&quot; .<br><br>Enforcing the orders written is important. <br><br>Punishment for false abuse claims is important. <br><br>Wow balance &nbsp;of probability being done by police social workers,mediators, &nbsp;legal system - again not qualified on a medical psycholigical level. I cant believe this is evem suggested outside of appropraitely trained and qualified.<br><br>Childrens Language can include borrowed scenarious. <br><br>Wow in australia, &nbsp;i worked in the DV system as an electrical contractor, the women brag about how they lie and twist the truth for gain of the kids and for financial gain, and regularly alienate the kids from dads. <br><br>Totally agree not currently child focused. Fast tracked is not being done by suitably trained person in the right field - psychological problem. <br><br>Im in my 50s a guy and mynstep mum was the abuser. But i was never beleived, social worker said a woman wouldnt do that.... contributing towards my abuse.<br><br>Starting from scratch - let the doctors do the medical assessment and treatment, someone suitably trained.. i like how you mentioned the training about court. <br><br>Wow, could you please define misogony..... and being equal would be accept the possiblity of the opposite occuring. <br>Lets be equal... <br><br>Ask how the kids feel years later.... for me the diagnosys and treatment should only be done by suitably qualified psychologically trained proffessional. <br><br>&quot;Cold turkey &quot; with the other parent happened to me from state care back to dad and step mum, from one parent to another ( i missed my friends and the carer for a short period of time, ive managed after that) is often as to stop the parental alienation of the alienator, to get training and to realign to the more child focused and is done by trained psycholists not a lawyer whom doesnt seem to beleive in the seperation period define by qualified proffesionals. <br><br>Wow female talker summing up there - wakey space therapy, psyudo science, parental alienation &nbsp;your putting that in a negative light as if its wrong.. and not a psycholigical reality... see DSM 5. Again someone from a legal background suggesting the DSM 5 diagnosys of attachment based aliention is not real science, writting papers on it - wow your part of the problem.
