  I watch youtube tutorials etc at 2x speed and it helps me concentrate because it's fast enough to discourage multi-tasking or picking up my mobile and get distracted etc.

  I’m all for quitting the news, but I think it’s important that anyone who reads books in its place samples a broad set of genres, not just self-development or pop-sci. We can all gain a deeper understanding of history, culture and the world through books that filter for the events that stand the test of time. And I think that gives anyone arguably more context for what’s happening in the world today than just news headlines!

  My default listening speed is 3.5 for audiobooks, youtube and podcasts.

  Losing the definition of what work is hits home. In the knowledge economy it can be challenging to not lose sight of what you’re building while doing busy work.

  Yeah 100 books a year with 3x speed is insane, not sure how much he will remember.<br>I wonder if he could even list titles of last 100 books that he read from top of his head.<br><br>It&apos;s not a race, better read 10 books a year and fully understood them.<br><br>Other than that great episode !
