Karen was a generational talent. The Carpenters have some great lore, they've sold well over 100 million albums worldwide to date, but there was a period of time back then when a lot of people would deny owning them for fear of being judged as "un-cool". They touched so many lives with their music.

The voice of an angel. I'm almost 65, and Karen's voice STILL gives me goosebumps. There was a reviewer with Rolling Stone magazine who once said, "Karen's voice is like the sound of a lover whispering in your ear." I can't disagree. R.I.P. Karen
