  Thank you for sharing! Looks like we are about in the same position. I've been looking for years for something better for me than blade 98 v8 16x19. Bought a Defyer and it's a switch! Slight arm pain but I haven't played with strings/tension yet. It's a total cheat code for serves and more maneuverable at net. The weirdest part of the racquet that I don't see in reviews is that the harder you swing, the less power you get... a weird but cool thing I've never experienced from other sticks.

  Exactly same boat - blade 98 v9 16/19 and first hit with defyer was a dream. The confidence to swing out knowing the spin would bring it down with great depth was so satisfying. The switch from Percept 97 to blade 98 gave me a lot, but this switch potentially a lot more.

  Also, just have to say I am down to the babolat pure aero 100 or the defyer 98 following 15 years with the juice 100 blx. After loving my play with the defyer and it surviving comparisons with six other rackets I have demoed, your video has helped me get very close to purchase of the defyer. Thank you!

  Currently using Blade 100, but demoed the Defyer 98 a couple weeks ago and loved it. It was much easier to play than I was expecting. But I really want to try the D100 before making a decision. One more week....

  I’ve just bought one. Out of concern that it might too advanced a racket, I have fitted Technifibre x-one biphase 16 multifilament strings. I figured this will give more comfort and a larger sweet spot. I’m encouraged to see a good response to the racket after release 👍 Thank you for your review!

  Great video!! I was a Blade v9 user too, now I'm using the Pro Staff Classic but it's been hard for me to get used to it, specially because it's hard to manoeuvre/spin with it. The Defyer has caught my eye and it looks promising, but I'd like to try the Pure Aero 2026 too, I don't know what to do...

  I agree that the Defyer is an excellent racket. My previous racket was 2025 ezone 98 tour. It took a little getting used to because I do think the ezone has a bigger sweet spot because of the isometric shape. So I was miss hitting more than usual in the beginning. Then I started to get used to the Defyer and what it brings which is control, spin and comfort. Because my ezone 98 tour was 10 grams heavier than the Defyer I did have to add weight to 3 and 9 and at 12 and at the throat to feel closer to the 315. Overall a great racket that combines the ezone, aero, and blade.

  Great detailed review and I look forward to a demo with the new Wilson racket.  Curious if you have tried other strings in the frame?  I tend to use TF razor soft black but also have been using Solinco Confidential soft in my Ultra.  I play about 5 times a week so I am nervous of my string bills if you are only getting 4 hours of play with Tour Bite.

  I have both Blade 98 V10 Pro and DEFYER 98 Pro, I could say it both fit my game (all court style) but preferably, the defyer giving me more confident on baseline with 2 hands backhand. Like it so far, but BLADE is the signature one, when you wanna slow down the game in slow pacing, pocketing control of the blade is the one haha

  I went from blade 98 v9 to technifiber tFight 305s to get a little more pop on the ball without loss of control.   While I really like the technifiber, I was able to get a demo of the Defyer 98, also strung with multi like I use.  After a quick hit with it, I’m impressed.  I’m going to,play test it this weekend.
