Cracking video Taff . My dad always mentioned this story and the fact everyone in the league was at it . He said it ruined Sunderland forever . The old school man city fans will take it on the chin and will continue to support their team no matter what .They always did . The glory hunters will fade away and wear a different coloured shirt in no time at all . The tourists will disappear soon enough and they'll be left with a stripped back pure club like they used to have . Supported by pure fans who know what football is really about

I think a good way of dealing with them would be to deem the owners not fit to own the club and force them to sell, a transfer ban for a few seasons, a 40 point deduction for the next 5 premier league seasons and the inability to receive parachute payments. That way if they survive, they do it as a team struggling to hold on to their premier league place. If they get relegated they receiveno financial assistance, the next time they are promoted they get another 40 point deduction.

Brilliant as always Taff. Never heard of this story until you mentioned it on you show with Connor. You should write a book about the '57 fiasco.
