Goodness! What a terrible life you endured in the UK. No wonder you chose to move to Australia! Australia is the greater for having someone like you here. Thankyou.

My daughter is a qualified mental health nurse. She studied in Leeds University. She has been a nurse now for about 15 years. She first worked for the NHS.After the birth of her second child ended up with post natal depression. She had problems with a patient who used her.She used to visit several patients all over the town. She is very good harted and caring and she fell for a patient tricks. The NHS never stood buy her or helped her one bit.Anyway she works now in a private hospital caring for elderly patients.12 hrs shifts and no sick pay from this company. She is happy in her job but for what she is paid and the responsibility.You.ve said it doctor.I don't blame you one bit.Iam Dutch born lived a long time in the UK.Healtcare is a lottery for many of us.We are both 75 and my wife is disasbled. She was a care assistant working for pittance taking care of people. But if young people like you are leaving who do we end up with Doctor a medicine man?

Good for you young man. I was born and raised in Cardiff. I left for New York when I was 20. I still miss the UK sometimes but I reconize that the UK I'm talking about doesn't exist now. Frankly, it saddens me seeing what the British are up against these days so - overall, I'm happy that I adopted the US. All the best to you and your lady for your life going forward. Don't feel guilty. Remember; you're an inspiration to others. The UK owes more to its hard working citizens and that's why the best people are fleeing.❤❤

After eight years of flying (every day above the clouds while learning to fly with the British Airways air mindedness scheme in the 1960s and 70s) I was pushing 30 and the job had run its course, and I relocated to Western Australia were we get more sunshine than the south of France. It seems that the UK simply got worse and worse and worse and worse, I'm reminded of the Spanish lady who came to Australia in the 1950s, her comment "Spain had a fantastic past but what of its' future?". That was her motivation for looking for somewhere with a future. it was also mine, I've never been back, perhaps it is yours too?.As a devotee of Mae West, I find value in her words >, " I bin' rich, I bin' poor, rich is bedda" (it needs the Brooklyn accent) also from Mae West, "to be young and poor is inconvenient, to be old and poor is intolerable" that kinda does it for me?. Best wishes, John. We need doctors. I had 2 UK doctors in Emergency last year... their sense of humour was great ;)

As an Australian/NZer we are very lucky to have UK trained doctors coming to live here. One thing about Australia, there is a variety of climates, and landscapes, so if you feel like a change you can move to a different part of the country. Personally, we were sick of the heat, and it was getting hotter in SE Queensland, so we have moved to Tasmania. Plenty of outdoors to enjoy all year round without "sweating your ass off" as my husband says.

More power to you. My trip to London, when I was young, put me off travel for years...

The UK NHS went from a World Class system to a laughing stock. Whilst there are many wonderful, caring and dedicated hard workers, unfortunately, the pharmaceutical corporations, as well as the teaching Hospitals and 'others actors' seem to have convinced knowledgeable young doctors and nurses that symptoms are at the root causative effect on health, and therefore treat with allopathic reductionism, in my mind a fatal approach to human health. Now retired I was a Biochemist having spent thirty years working in cell nutrition, and more recently on the Human Cell Atlas projects. The UK is still a great place, however, its the people who wear the overalls that make it great whilst the men in suits find more innovative ways to ruin it.

I’ve only just found your channel. Quite enjoying your content. My family came out to Australia in the late 60s as £10 Poms. I was only 5. My Father never wanted to return, but Mum visited home 3 times to catch up with family. Neither of them have any regrets. I’ve done 2 trips back to meet family and see where my parents used to live etc. My overall impression is “Nice place to visit, wouldn’t want to live there”
