My grandmother was born in the same year, she baked in a wood fired oven, she kept her wood sorted by species, because the different species like maple or hickory or ash, burned at different temps. Her recipes included the species of wood. When we would visit, she made my dad chop, split, and sort the wood for her.

The whole of “Hollywood” is an architectural “Folly.” Rancho Rodeo de las Aguas or the Hammel/Denker Ranch is why the famous shopping street in Beverly Hills is called Rodeo Drive.
