  As a retiree I know all too well how inconsistent the hearings are. My sisters husband who was in Vietnam was denied some of those benefits, as he began developing dementia and being fearful, he was still denied and then committed suicide a month ago.

  Denied benefits on a dangerous chemical for Vietnam Vets, but grant benefits for current Vets exposed to burn pits. Vietnam also exposed to burning human waste which filled the air.

  V,A,  GUY...I've was in Vietnam  twice. Arrived in Country Jan. '68, left following year Jan. '69 went back to the NAM,  April '70 to April '71...yes there were flight spraying...what we did, we would burn the vegetation in front of our perimeter, we needed the view in , we needed it open,so it was easy to spot V,C, Movement...we received large cans of Agent Orange ,we didn't know nothing about , we knew it killed the Vegetation / weeds...we used spray canister s to do the job...sticky shiny stuff and it stunk, day and night we smelled that stink...Note ; we did know it was called " Agent Orange "...Thanks V.A.   I&apos;m a 73 year old American Vietnam Veteran. I am living in Australia after 9 years with the US Army. My Vietnam Tour was in the &quot;A Shau Valley&quot; area, west of Hue (2/502 Inf 101st Airborne) (The story of Hamburger Hill battle, Movie, which was off as we didn&apos;t wear subdue patches or eat &quot;C&quot; rations , could go on...<br> &nbsp;Over the years many younger Australian Doctors would comment; &quot;but you don&apos;t have any medical markers to have such illnesses, such as &quot;Peripheral Neuropathy&quot;, my heart conditions, etc... 20 years ago when I applied, they responded I wasn&apos;t even in Vietnam??? So sent copies of my awards; CIB, Bronze Star and Purple Heart and medical records my &quot;TOP&quot; gave me a copy of, before my flight back to the world. The next thing they said; &quot;I never complained about my broken back, (with my burns, included two broken vertebra). (They knew what my conversations were in the burn ward (95th EVAC)? .... I flew to visit relatives in the US and stopped at the VA Office in Sacramento to re-file about 10 years ago... later they responded with; &quot;what paperwork?&quot; when I asked what was happening. They lost everything....thank God we have mostly FREE HEALTH CARE here in Oz.<br> &nbsp;I was once a proud American who when called up went and served as had my father and uncles did in WWII, 25 years before... I made Staff Sargent so I ended up spending 7 more years ... for what? A country that hated us, but welcomed back draft dodgers from Canada (Jimmy Carter), The USA, a nation who just lets us die (over 300,000 since returning from Dixon related health issues). I also sat through the Australian Royal Commission on Agent Orange in 1984 here in Sydney with 7 &quot;Australian Digger&quot; friends and one US Marine. The Magistrate said it was just PTSD and all in our minds. All seven have died of prostrate cancer years ago (None retired) as has my US Marine buddy died ... three of my closest friends from the 101st who were artists I exhibited with also died...two cancer and the other use a gun after he found out his cancer was advanced.I have no grand children as I warned my sons it wasn&apos;t safe ... my poor Australian wife didn&apos;t sign up for this and it breaks my heart she has to see how a Once great nation turned their backs on us...<br><b>*************</b> Flew home to bury my Mom in 2017 and some man said &quot;thank you for your service&quot; at the LAX airport... (I had my Screaming Eagle pin and my CIB pin on my lapel.... save the thanks for some other sucker who used to believe in America ... millions voted for a Draft Dodger and often say he&apos;s the second coming of Christ??? That&apos;s America ... full of racist, hating creatures... in the Army we were all green... you get hit, I&apos;d do what ever I could to drag you to safety and our (Hero, Doc Cooley) to save your life.... you were a fellow Trooper .... and I cared.

  Diabetes,neuropathy,skin issues,Gerd,Sleep Apnea and more. My Veteran was awarded 20% years ago and made to feel less than human!<br>Where did we go for help.<br>Vietnam Veteran 1967-1968 helicopter from DMZ to Delta stationed I ChuLai <br>We’re 82 and need help!

  US government put these young men nd women to serve in Vietnam. Time to pay up to thier families. Instead the politicians giving themselves a raise<br>I&apos;m Native American, have a learning disabilities, uneven legs, big dimple on my spine, have high blood pressand had kidney transplant. My daughter has a learning disabilities ( handicap). <br>My dad is very old now, living in a old house on the reservation. One of my uncle never came home from Nam, he was killed out there in the jungle

  Yes, I had my Agent Orange skin claim(s) denied by the VA because there was no cancer diagnosis associated. The VA did give me a ZERO rating for skin cysts even though I had cyst removed while on active duty and have had other cyst removed through the years thereafter.

  I was assigned to a Navy Destroyer that helped escort Marines into Vietnam in 1965. We breathe the air, drunk the water and was in the harbor. After which we went up the coast and fired shots into designated areas in the jungle. In July 65 I was discharged from Okinawa and flew to SFO on a C123. I filled a claim several years later after a number of agent orange indicators started showing up, e.g.prostate cancer, COPD, triple bypass, heart attack. My claim was denied, saying I was a blue water Sailor therefore not eligible for consideration. I’m 83 now, just what the VA was wait for, time to run out.

  My claim was denied, due to the wording on my VA physical, that my VA doctor used to describe my diabetes diagnosis. &nbsp;My &nbsp;A1C &nbsp;number had risen to 6.4, which is the accepted number for the presence of diabetes, but the actual wording of my physical was not deemed appropriate by the one handling my claim. &nbsp; It didn&apos;t stop the VA doctor from scolding me about the new diagnosis, and how I should never consider myself as anything but a diabetic going forward. &nbsp;I wish those considering my claim could have been there hearing the scolding I endured........... They look for any reason to deny any claim!! &nbsp;(drafted Vietnam Vet)

  I have a claim pending for peripheral neuropathy, secondary to my type 2 diabetes, I’m a Vietnam Veteran. My entire tour was in I Corp, Chu Lai and DaNang.

  My dad was at the DMZ almost a 3 tours of Vietnam and had agents orange sprayed constantly on him. Drank the contaminated water, washed in it too. Yet he was smart enough to go to doctors, and anything that popped up that might’ve and could’ve turned into cancer. Was removed before it could have gotten worse.<br>Now that the pact act was passed my dad still cannot file, because he doesn’t have cancer or anything in order to file.
