  If you&apos;re playing with raids on, safest location for a base (other than an island):<br><br>Find four or five indestructible trees where a swamp biome borders a Plains biome.<br>Not only are you safe from all land raids, the denizens of both biomes continuously fight to the death, providing you with an endless supply of mats.<br><br>And with enough wood iron beams, you can indeed build stone floors for things like your hearth, kilns, smelters, ovens, etc.

  It&apos;s even better if you build in the swamp around the indestructible trees. That way it can&apos;t be knocked down if you get a troll raid. I usually build one near the bonemass altar for a portal

  Raise the ground a and use some of the rocks that you can build with the hammer to blend it in. Speaking from experience here.

  Important note, since I didnt see it in here- &nbsp;The trees count as ground for support purposes, which was mentioned of course, but a side-effect of that fact was not- you can attach campfires and hearths to the trees for your kitchen area in your tree village. &nbsp;It does mean that they must be touching the tree trunk, but thats a small limitation.
