  Racism??Dude has a White mama and was raised by his White adopted parents.....I'm Black both my parents are Black as well as both sides of my family, this dude is off White...80% of the NFL is Black wtf are we talking about racism for??? Kaepernick played himself period!!!!

  As a 60 year old black man, whose parents were born in the South a couple of decades before the civil Rights movements, I was very much disappointed with Kaepernick. Do you have the freedom of speech, yes you do. Can you protest? Yes you can! But when you do things in the public eye AND AT YOUR JOB, there will be consequences.  Kaepernick let his girlfriend get in his ear and twist him around. He even hurt his adoptive  parents, who afforded him the life that he had. And as others have stated, his talent was not worth the headache. I was rooting for San Francisco in the super bowl they lost to Baltimore. All Kaepernick had to do was make some important throws and they would have won that game. He was a great runner, but not a great quarterback. I was so ticked at him. If he was a great quarterback, some team would have plucked him up. Shoot, Jerry Jones would have plucked him up. But no one did because he was not great!

  Somehow, everyone remembers Kaep as a “star” even though he declined significantly in his last season and a half, to the point he was benched. And Purdy is a star and they call him mediocre. There is something about QB’s in SF creating this mass cognitive dissonance.
